A chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Zamfara state, Alhaji Sani Danmasani has described the emergence of Agbo Major as the new national chairman of NNPP as a gateway to brighter 2027 general elections.
Danmasani also backed the expulsion of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Buba Galadima, and the entire Kwankwassiya faction, saying it was for the progress of the party.
Speaking with Tribune Online, Danmasani described the election of Major as the new National Chairman of NNPP at the just concluded party’s National Convention held in Lagos as welcome development.
Danmasani who is the North West NNPP zonal chairman described the recent National convention as free, fair and most acceptable to the development of the party and it’s progress.
“NNPP in Zamfara state, want progress, development towards 2027, we therefore back the expulsion of Kwankwaso and his Kwankwassiya group members from our promising party,” he stated.
He lamented that it’s unfortunate that the unemployed characters in NNPP are busy fighting the founding fathers of the party.
“NNPP is sure of its victory. We are focused, very determined towards the 2027 general election,” he assured.
The NNPP led by Major reaffirmed the party’s compliance with the Abia High Court ruling of November 1, 2024, which directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize the Board of Trustees (BOT) led by Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam pending the resolution of internal dispute.
