The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun Ezekiel, has extended his warm greetings to the people of Oriade as they step into a new month. Hon. Obeisun, who also serves as the State ALGON Auditor and the ALGON Leader in the Ijesa Zone, prayed for a month filled with success, celebration, and achievements for all.
In his message, Hon. Obeisun also felicitated with the Muslim faithful in Oriade Local Government on the commencement of this year’s Ramadan. He urged them to use the holy period for deep reflection, spiritual renewal, and fervent prayers for the progress of the community.
The council chairman specifically called on Muslims to remember both indigenes and residents of Oriade, whether at home or abroad, in their prayers. He also emphasized the importance of praying for Osun State and Nigeria at large, noting that the country’s prosperity depends on divine guidance and the collective efforts of its citizens.
Hon. Obeisun reassured the people of his administration’s commitment to transformative governance. He stated that several developmental projects are underway to elevate Oriade Local Government to greater heights, adding that with the support and prayers of the people, these goals will be achieved.
Furthermore, he appealed to the Muslim faithful to include President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their prayers. He expressed his wishes for the President’s good health and strength to successfully implement his vision for Nigeria’s growth and stability.
On matters of governance at the grassroots level, Hon. Obeisun urged local government workers to return to their duties, assuring them that security measures have been strengthened for their protection. He emphasized that their safety remains a priority for the administration.
He also cautioned workers against being influenced by political actors, reminding them that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) are not political organizations. He stressed the importance of professionalism and dedication in carrying out their responsibilities.
Hon. Obeisun reiterated his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people and the development of Oriade Local Government, promising to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of all residents.
