Nationnewslead reports that Oriade Local Government Chairmanship aspirant, under the umbrella of All Progressives Congress, Hon. Akinwale Abimbola Lawanson has embarked on two(2) day opening up of road layout from Ere-Ijesa to Esa Odo and link roads that is up to 10km.
Hon. Lawanson, who assured residents of his preparedness to restore the area to the path of peace, accountability and respect for human dignity, said that infrastructural development is one of his priorities.
While revealing his intentions to run for the Local Government Chairman to journalists today in Ere-Ijesa, Lawanson said that there were virtues which Oriade was known for but have unfortunately lost due to bad leadership.
According to him, ”If I am given the chance, I will restore peace, sanctity and the good reputation that has left the Local Government. There has been a lot of atrocities coupled with no accountability and no regard for human dignity.
“Today, Oriade LG has turned to a mockery because of lack of capacity and godly leadership. I have prepared myself to embark on this journey of restoration.
He said that the out going Oriade LG boss is a good man, though, ”leadership is not all about being a good man but a gift from God. When you don’t have it, you can never manufacture it. Oriade needs a leader that understands that nature of Oriade Local Government to lead people,” He said.
He further charged the good people of Oriade Local Government to remain focus and committed as he is ready to paddle the affairs of the Local Government to the zenith height
