The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru as the Chairman of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), describing it as as a worthy appointment.
According to the Osun State chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, today, the appointment is a recognition of the cumulative contributions of Senator Ajibola towards the socio-political development of this country.
Lawal noted that that the appointment of the National Secretary of the APC is a reflection of President Tinubu’s commitment to entrusting critical national assignments to individuals of impeccable integrity and proven competence.
Lawal explained further that the new appointment has once again demonstrated the President’s keen eye for hunting talents and individuals with capacity.
In the words of the state APC chairman: “This is not just a victory for SRJ but also a bold step forward for Nigeria’s quest for industrial and agricultural advancement.
“Senator Ajibola’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his relentless dedication, visionary leadership and outstanding contributions to the development of Osun State in particular and Nigeria in general.
“The sugar sector plays a key role in the country’s economy and with Senator Basiru at the helm, there is renewed hope for significant progress in the industry.
“This is not just an appointment; it is a clear signal of the confidence in SRJ’s capacity to transform the Sugar Development Council into a beacon of growth and prosperity”, Lawal stated.
