Hon. Kasope Abolarin, the son of Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin has been elected to represent the people of Ifedayo state constituency in the Osun State house of assembly.
Abolarin defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to emerge victorious in the Saturday’s election.
The House of Assembly member-elect, while speaking on his victory, appreciated the governor of the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the monarch, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) providing him the platform and the entire constituents of Ifedayo for electing him.
He assured the constituents of good representation on the sacred floor of the assembly, adding that he would sponsor bills that would be of benefit to the people.
Abolarin said he would work hand in hand with the executive arm and other political appointees to usher in development to the area.
According to him, “I will not take opportunity granted me to represent my people for granted. I will ensure that bills that will be of benefits to the people are sponsored and supported.”
He also lauded President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal government for granting financial autonomy to the local government administration.
Hon. Abolarin said it would speed up development at the third tier of government.
