Chairman , Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi , who sought for Osun state PDP gubernatorial nomination in 2018 and 2022, and later stood as a candidate of the Accord Party in the guber election held in the state on 16 July 2022 , had during the weekend announced his decision to rejoin the PDP.
Ogunbiyi had written a letter and addressed the letter to the PDP National Chairman, former senator Iyorchia Ayu to not only inform him of his decision to rejoin the party but to also seek that his rights and privileges be restored.
Ogunbiyi also copied his Ward Chairman, local government chairman and the Chairman of the state Caretaker Committee, Dr Akindele Adekunle of the said letter.
