Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Hon. Sunday Bisi has commended lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi better known as Irekandu, for his unwavering commitment to the people who elected him.
This was made known on Saturday, November 9 by the party chair at the launching of the Irekandu Ladies Cooperative Society held at Ajayi Memorial Hall, Ibokun, Osun State.
The cooperative, aimed at empowering women from all ten wards within the constituency.
According to Bisi, the Obokun lawmaker stood to his campaign promises by working tirelessly to improve the lives of his constituents.
Bisi added that Irekandu has shown what true representation means by remaining with and for the people who voted for you.
This initiative is a testament to your dedication and you have made the party and her members proud, the PDP Chairman added.
He also urged the women beneficiaries to preserve the cooperative’s legacy and ensure its longevity by fully embracing the empowerment opportunity it offers.
“This initiative must not collapse; it has the power to transform lives. I enjoin you to make it a success and carry forward its purpose. The Irekandu Ladies Cooperative Society stands as a model of PDP-led development and a symbol of the party’s commitment to its electorate”.
He also assured attendees that they could anticipate similar and even greater initiatives from other representatives elected on the PDP platform in the state.
“The PDP remains committed to delivering dividends of democracy through innovative, people-centered initiatives. This is just one example of what our leaders are doing across Osun State,” he added.
