Some of the reconstructed roads are the ‘Boroboro -Oke Modina road, named after the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

He also reiterated his commitment to bringing more development to Oyo town and environ and the state at large.

The lawmaker attributed the developmental progress he has been making in his federal constituency to the support of the late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.

Also, the lawmaker, a son of the late Alaafin, empowered over 1,500 business people with N50,000 cash to boost their businesses.

He said:  “The four major roads commissioned today (Wednesday) were facilitated through President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and were accordingly named.

“It is the responsibility of legislators to hold townhall meetings, give account of stewardship and represent their constituents at the highest level of government and this is what I am doing,” Skimeh said.

On the grants to businesspeople, Honourable Adeyemi said: “We are not just giving out the money, but also supporting them in their trades and professions.

“The majority of the beneficiaries are farmers and we had engaged them in training with a resource person from the Institute of Agriculture Research (IAR) from Damaturu, Yobe State and officials from the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN).

“They were taught techniques in modern farming. So we gave N50,000 to 1,500 people to enhance their businesses.

“The gesture is just to support agriculture development and make food surplus in our communities.”
