I want to express my deep concern about the perennial electricity supply challenges facing our nation. The recent power outages in major cities, including Lagos and Abuja, have highlighted the urgent need for a sustainable solution.
As a citizen, I believe it is imperative for the government to prioritise investment in our electricity infrastructure. The current state of our power grid is antiquated and inadequate, resulting in frequent blackouts that hinder economic growth and daily life.

To address this issue, I suggest increase in funding for renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, incentivisation of the power sector to attract foreign investment, regular maintenance and upgrade of existing infrastructure and strengthening regulatory bodies to ensure accountability.
The benefits of reliable electricity are numerous: improved healthcare, enhanced education, increased productivity, and job creation.
I urge the Federal Government to take a decisive action and collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive plan to tackle this perennial problem.
