Plateau State Governor-elect, Barrister Caleb Muftwang, has inaugurated a 10-man Transition Committee headed by Professor Ganyir Lombin, promising to deliver on the mandate given to him by the people of the state.
Speaking before the inauguration of the committee, the Governor-elect applauded members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the entire people of the state for standing by the party adding that the state under his leadership as the governor will not let the people down.

According to him, the incoming administration will reciprocate the gesture through good governance, adding that the incoming PDP-led administration has no choice but to give good governance to the people of the state.
He commended all those who served in the presidential and governorship campaign council in the state for their doggedness and spirit of resilience in the course of the campaign adding that their efforts along with others helped in winning the election at all levels in the state.
“I thank all those who served in the campaign council, they did wonderfully well to ensure that our party won the elections, it was a fruitful effort and the campaign committee made it a reality.
“The victory is not for us alone but for the people of Plateau state. The first expectation is that we must give good governance to the people of the state. We have become the trustee of the people’s mandate and the commonwealth of the people is in our care, so we have to perform to meet the people’s expectations” he said.
The Atiku/Mutfwang campaign council chairman, Latep Dabang, in his farewell speech, appreciated the Chris Hassan-led Peoples Democratic Party Plateau State administration for choosing him out of many to serve the party after decamping as the Plateau All Progressive Congress State Chairman.
He also thanked the former governor Sen Jonah Jang, Governor-elect Caleb Mutfwang and party stakeholders for their faith in him and for the drive they all had to ensure the campaign was a success.
He said his return to the party was to add value to the PDP and went on to wish the incoming administration all the best to excel.
