Police have commenced the enforcement of mandatory third-party insurance for motorists across all 33 local government areas of the state on Monday in Ibadan.
The enforcement campaign was led by the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Ayodele Sonubi.
This is in compliance with the directives of the 22nd Inspector-General of Police, Federal Republic of Nigeria, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.

The exercise, as contained in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adewale Osifeso has become fully operational in the state.
It was added that it came with advocacies and enlightenment and is being held simultaneously across the (33) Thirty-Three local governments areas in the State with their corresponding Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Heads of Department handling local enforcements as directed by the Commissioner of Police.
