Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has sought spiritual intervention by participating in a public cleansing ritual.
The singer posted videos on his Instagram page on Wednesday showing a crowd dressed in white garments conducting a deliverance ceremony around him.
The footage showed intense moments of prayer as water is poured over the singer’s head, accompanied by declarations such as: “You have overcome your enemies. Evil shall no longer find you. God’s mercy will cover you and protect your family from harm.”

Portable, widely recognised for his expressive demeanor, gazed upward and reacted with lively movements during the entire ceremony.
Gospel artist Testimony Jaga alleged in March that he witnessed a “demonic manifestation” from Portable during their encounter.
Jaga claimed that since their meeting, Portable has been unsettled, insisting that the singer’s use of “juju” (traditional charms) is “fake.”
The gospel singer’s claim followed Portable’s assault on a preacher at his bar in Ogun State, which sparked widespread criticism in September.
Jaga added his voice to the online backlash, issuing Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the preacher.
When the deadline passed, Jaga and his music team showed up at Portable’s bar, leading to a dramatic confrontation.
Portable was captured kneeling and weeping heavily as he apologized for his actions, while the crowd around him chanted, “God is the King. Jesus is here.”
