President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reappointed Dr Chioma Ejikeme as the executive secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) for another four-year term.
The decision, effective Tuesday, October 10, 2023, marks her return to this crucial role.
Dr Ejikeme had previously handed over the management of PTAD to Mr Sulayman Shelleng, the Director of the Civil Service Pension Department, in September, when her initial term expired.
Her reappointment to this position comes after her initial appointment by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
In her role as PTAD executive secretary, Dr Ejikeme holds the significant responsibility of ensuring the timely payment of pensions to retirees under the Defined Benefit Scheme.
