Nationnewslead report that As workers in Nigeria mark this year’s Workers’ Day, the candidate of All Progressive Congress in the 2023 NASS election in Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State, Barr. Seun Odofin has hailed the Nigerian workers for their patriotism and dedication which has enhanced Nigeria economic growth, peace and industrial harmony.
While celebrating with Nigerian workers, Odofin commended them for their commitment to nation-building and resilience in the face of numerous challenges.
He condemned any problem obstructing the productivity of workers either in public or private sector, calling for improved welfare and conducive working environment for optimum performance.
He also appealed to workers to discourage proliferation of unions to avert unhealthy rivalry so that Nigerian workers can have a strong and united labour force.
The statement read,. “I greet all workers in Nigeria especially, workers in my immediate environment, Ijesa North Federal Constituency and Osun State as they join their counterparts around the world to mark the Workers’ Day.
“I know the great impacts of Nigerian workers to the development of our country. Their patriotism and dedication to nation-building in the face of numerous challenges is commendable.
“We can’t pretend that Nigerian workers are very talented, enduring and supportive. They have contributed so much to Nigeria progress but get less reward because nothing could be too much to repay their sacrifices for promotion of peace and industrial harmony which has helped to enhanced Nigeria economic growth.
“They deserve descent living. Their welfare and conducive working environment should be prioritize. The era of delay wages and promotion; undue interference and pressure and hostile working environment should never exist in this modern age where in other nations, workers, aside good take home, friendly environment and special entitlements to motivate them,. have sophisticated gadgets to work with for effective productivity.
“On the part of the workers, I urge you to be more dedicated. Ready to support the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Rest assured that he will be your friend. His antecedents as former Lagos State Governor can be verified. Today, every state worker dream of working with Lagos State Government. Such was the template created by Tinubu as sustained by successive administrations.
