The Management of Infectious Disease Hospital, Amanawa, in Dange – shuni local government area of Sokoto has distributed assorted drugs to patients and physically challenged persons living around the hospital.
Speaking at the distribution exercise, State Commissioner for Health, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe described the foresight of the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Garba Muhammad Aliyu as a welcome development.
Hajiya Balarabe then commended him for the kind gesture, which she said would go a long way in complementing the effort of the current administration of Dr Ahmed Aliyu toward improving the health sector in the state.
The Commissioner explained that since his appointment, the CMD has been initiating various programmes aimed at reviving the lost glory of the hospital thereby by improving its activities.
On the renovated theater room, Male and Female Wards, a Laboratory, Labour room and newly constructed solar powered borehole in the hospital facilitated by the CMD through the immediate past minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo, the Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the commitment of CMD in that regard.
So earlier in his remarks, the Chief Medical Director of Infectious Disease Hospital Amanawa, Dr Garba Muhammad Aliyu spoke on the essence of carrying out the renovation work.
Dr Garba Muhammad informed the Commissioner that since he assumed duty, more efforts have been intensified towards revitalizing the hospital.
The CMD then pledges to sustain commitment towards providing effective and efficient health care services to people.
He also thanked the Commissioner for all the support given to him and hoped the tempo would be sustained.
