Former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has urged national leaders to unite in order to rescue Nigeria from its current crisis.
Speaking after the conclusion of the state PDP Congress on Saturday evening, Tambuwal, who represents Sokoto South Senatorial District, emphasized that the nation is on the brink of collapse due to harsh economic policies that have plunged citizens into severe poverty, making it difficult for many to feed.
He likened Nigeria’s condition to being in an “Intensive Care Unit (ICU)” and expressed deep concern over the alarming levels of insecurity, abject poverty, and economic malaise affecting the country.

Tambuwal called for a collaborative effort among leaders, particularly those who are dissatisfied with the current governance.
He stated, “We must work together and make sure that by the special grace of God, through the democratic process, we rescue this country in 2027.” He encouraged all those unhappy with the present state of affairs to unite and work towards reclaiming the nation’s path toward unity, progress, and development.
