The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, has described the current administration of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo as exceptional, stating that it has met the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
In a statement, the former Speaker highlighted the State Government’s decision to upgrade and allocate an additional N7 billion for 88 primary healthcare centers (PHCs) as unprecedented.
He also praised Governor Ododo for awarding a N6.39 billion contract for the rehabilitation of 106.36 kilometers of rural roads, emphasizing that such initiatives are transformative.
In his commendation, Prince Kolawole lauded the administration for the ongoing construction of a multi-billion-naira modern market. He remarked that Governor Ododo is achieving what “Napoleon could not do” within just a year in office.
He further acknowledged the State Government’s award of contracts for the backlog of maintenance and rehabilitation of rural farm roads under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), describing it as a commendable initiative.

The former Speaker noted that the Governor is matching his words with action, adding, “We have never had it this good.”
