Branding expert and coach Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko has given reasons for changing the name of The Iconic Brand Awards to Iconic Brand Africa.
In a statement on Friday, Osideko noted that the name change from The Iconic Brand Awards to The Iconic Brand Africa heralds a new chapter in the organization’s history, evolving it from an award and conference initiative to a full-fledged organization.
She stated that TIBA, which began five years ago, has now evolved into a structured organization aimed at achieving greater milestones in cultivating a culture of learning and development, celebrating brands, and facilitating collaboration and networking in Africa.
Osideko added that since its inception, TIBA has been empowering individuals and organizations by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to thrive in today’s evolving society.
Furthermore, she stressed that the new changes will promote positive change and progress across Africa.
“TIBA’s transformation exemplifies its commitment to serving career professionals, business owners, and thought leaders.
“These new developments will have a profound impact on brands and society as TIBA provides valuable opportunities for learning, development, recognition, and awards.

“Through conferences, webinars, networking, and its flagship award events, TIBA creates a platform for industry professionals to connect, learn, and grow together,” she stated.
Osideko revealed that the rebranding of TIBA was accompanied by a new logo, a website, a vision and mission, core values, and strategies to drive change and showcase the stories and achievements of African brands.
“The rebranded TIBA will focus on three entities, which are the TIBA Network, the TIBA Awards and Conference, and the TIBA Community.
“TIBA, hereby, invites entrepreneurs, investors, career professionals, and valuable individuals from across the African continent to join us in making impacts by elevating African brands on the global stage,” she added.
Stressing the TIBA Awards and Conference, Osideko stated that awards stand as a testament to TIBA’s dedication to honoring and recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions across diverse fields.
“This event not only celebrates excellence, innovation, and positive influence but also serves as sources of inspiration by empowering aspiring individuals to reach greater heights and make significant contributions to society,” she added.
According to Osideko, the rebranding of TIBA also involved the establishment of a new board of management ─ comprising an advisory board, a board of directors, and team leads ─ to steer the organization’s management and propel its transition.
According to the statement, the advisory board members include Omotola Adedapo, who serves as the chairperson of the board. Others are Olubummi Fabanwo, Gabriel Ologunwa, Juliet Kimson, Olufunmilola Otolorin, Opeyemi Emmanuel, among others.
Also, according to the statement, the board of directors comprises Bright Okere, Morenikeji Onaderu, Blessing Aggreh, Joshua Umoh, Adeola Okoh, and Temitope Ogundeji.
