Nationnewslead reports that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun will on Thursday inaugurate two strategic plans – Culture and Tourism for Sustainable Economy (CUTOSEC) and Osun-Sterling Tourism Vision 30-30 (OSTOV30-30) – aimed at developing the culture and tourism sector of the State.
The unveiling of the two plans will take place at an event scheduled to hold at the Distinguished Hall, Iwo Road, Osogbo by 11 am.
While CUTOSEC is the State’s new Master Plan for culture and tourism that focuses on the key issues of development in the sector, OSTOV30-30 was designed in partnership with Sterling Bank and seeks to develop 30 essential tourism promotion projects, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the creation of Osun next year.
It was further revealed that through OSTOV30-30, major tourism sites in the State such as Olumirin Waterfall, in Oriade Local Government; Ayikunnugba Waterfall, in Ifedayo Local Government; Owala Rivers, in Olorunda Local Government; Igila in Olaoluwa Local Government; Kiriji war sites in Boluwaduro and Obokun Local Governments, among others will receive adequate attention from the government.
The two initiatives to be unveiled by Governor Oyetola, it was further gathered are non-debt creating initiatives of the government, and have received the blessings of African Union Economic and Socio- Cultural Council and notable tourism professionals both in Nigeria and in diaspora.
