The management of the University of Ibadan has debunked some media reports making the rounds that some fake professors were identified in the university.
This was contained in a released made available to Nigeria Tribune and signed by the registrar and secretary to the Council and Senate, G.O Saliu.
The management categorically stated that none of the mentioned professors had ever been listed as staff members of the university.
It noted that biennially, the university published its calendar wherein all the names of the bona-fide academic staff are listed. These names are not on the Calendar, it added.
“Members of the public are enjoined to disregard such stories as the University of Ibadan would never jeopardise the integrity of its academic programmes by parading fake professors,” it also stated.
