The Plateau State Government has affirmed its commitment to completing all ongoing projects before the end of its administration in May 2023.

According to the State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Danphilip Hirkop, most projects are almost finished, and the government is determined to see them through to completion.

During the 2023 budget review and breakdown held at the cabinet office in Jos on Thursday, Hirkop explained that the policies and programs contained in the 2023 budget are designed to consolidate the inclusive infrastructural growth of the state.

“It is the intention of the government to use the transition budget to complete all ongoing projects across the state,” he said.

“The 2023 budget titled ‘Budget of Economic Recovery and Consolidation of Inclusive Infrastructural Growth II,’ is put at over N106 billion.

It is meant to complete the capital projects initiated by the administration and commission them before the handover on May 29, 2023.”

Hirkop further assured citizens of the state and the incoming administration that the government would anchor a very robust handing-over ceremony and depart with laudable achievements.
