THE Local Government Pensioners Association, LOGPAN, in Ogun State, yesterday, denied a rumour making round that the association was at loggerhead with the state government, saying that ‘there is a cordial relationship between members of the association and the government.
The State Chairman of LOGPAN, Sikiru Ayilara, who made the clarification after a meeting with Governor Dapo Abiodun in Abeokuta, said, there is a cordial relationship between LOGPAN and the Governor Dapo Abiodu-led administration in the state.
Ayilara said: “We have come to meet our governor on some important issues that concern pensioners in the state, most especially local government pensioners. We came to appeal to the governor to give us harmonisation which he has agreed to look into.
“Yes, there was a slight disagreement between us and the state government, but that has been settled today and we are satisfied with the government position.” Continue Reading
