A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Armstrong Akintunde, has explained why a political support group, DA Mandate, raised N50 million to buy the second term nomination form for Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Akintunde said the group wanted to appreciate Abiodun for his road and infrastructural development, education, agric, housing, health, employment creation, among others.
He said this development reinforced the group’s conviction to allow Abiodun continue governance beyond 2023.
The APC chieftain, who addressed reporters at the Iperu-Remo residence of Abiodun, added: “With the level of development, it is clear the second term ambition of Governor Dapo Abiodun would be a walk over.
“Governor Dapo Abiodun has been exceptional with governance. The development projects of his administration have been very huge.”
Akintunde said some progressives in Remo contributed to the money.
“It’s the least we can do to ensure that the development continues beyond 2023,” he added. Continue Reading
