The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Osun State, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun Ezekiel, alongside his counterpart, Hon. Ajimati Oladeji, warmly welcomed local government council workers back to duty as some of them resumed work today. The event, held at the council secretariat, also had in attendance councilors from various wards, All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, and party members.

Hon. Obeisun, while addressing the returning staff, assured them of his administration’s commitment to working harmoniously with all local government employees. He emphasized that their cooperation is essential for the smooth running of the council and reiterated that workers’ welfare would be a top priority under his leadership.

The council chairman appealed to those who had resumed to encourage their colleagues to return to work, assuring them of their safety. He stated that there was no crisis within the local government, as evident in the peaceful atmosphere of the council secretariat.

APC leader in Oriade Local Government, High Chief Emiola Ogunsanya, also expressed appreciation to the staff for returning to their duties. He reassured them of the party’s support and urged them not to be swayed by narratives from certain factions of their union, whom he alleged were influenced by financial inducements from the state government led by Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Speaking on behalf of the workers, some council staff members who addressed the media expressed gratitude to the local government executives for their warm reception. They affirmed their commitment to serving the people of the local government and vowed not to be intimidated by any association or external influence.

A staff representative further encouraged residents to engage with the local government, assuring them that the administration was fully prepared to resume normal operations and provide essential services to the communities.

Several prominent figures were present at the council secretariat to welcome the staff back to work. They included Hon. Barr. Oluwatayo Rufus, APC Local Government Chairman; High Chief Ajewole Golo; Mr. Lasun Ogunsanya, former Oriade Local Government Chairman; Hon. Taiwo Fatiregun, former House of Assembly member; Hon. Israel Tomilayo Aloba, former local government leader of the House; Hon. Dende Kato, APC Local Government Youth Leader; Mr. Awe Wale; all councilors, and numerous party loyalists.

The resumption of council workers was marked by a lively and celebratory atmosphere, with local government executives and APC leaders commending the workers’ decision to return. The event symbolized a renewed commitment to governance and service delivery at the grassroots level.

The local government leadership reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring a conducive work environment for all employees and encouraged them to focus on their responsibilities for the overall development of Oriade Local Government.
