A teenager, Jeffery Ugiagbe, has reportedly died after Ovie Oktogbo, a security guard, raped him in the Ugbowo area of Edo State.
It was learnt that 13-year-old Ugiagbe fell sick and thereafter told his parents that Oktogbo forcefully had anal sex with him.
Upon medical examination, some of the teenager’s organs were discovered to have been damaged.
FIJ reports that the family of the deceased who mourned the teenager’s death demanded justice and asked for donations to pay off the debt the family had incurred to pay Ugiagbe’s medical bills.
“I want Ovie Oktogbo sentenced to death, not life imprisonment. Presently, I am in debt. I am owing close to N3million,” the deceased’s father said.
Ugiagbe was said to be Oktogbo’s ninth victim. “I have raped nine boys. The boy lives in my area,” Oktogbo says in a video.
Confirming the incident was the Edo State’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bello Kontong, noting that Ugiagbe died on Thursday, and said Oktogbo had been charged to court. Continue Reading
