Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru (SRJ), the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), added prestige to the 2025 Ara Day celebration and the 5th Coronation Anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oyelade Adesola Olubayo Abidogun, the Alara of Ara Kingdom. Themed “Ara on the Rise Again,” the event showcased the rich cultural heritage and unity of the Ara community.
Although unable to attend personally, Senator Basiru was ably represented by Hon. Muthior Olanrewaju Adetoye Akere, who delivered a message of goodwill on his behalf.
In his remarks, SRJ applauded the numerous accomplishments of the Alara-in-Council, local clubs, associations, families, and the vibrant sons and daughters of Ara, including those in the diaspora, for their unwavering commitment to the development of the town.
He urged the people of Ara to remain united under the leadership of their revered monarch, assuring them of his steadfast dedication to fostering peace and resolving communal disputes across Osun State. Senator Basiru also reaffirmed his vision for a progressive state where every interest is safeguarded.
