The immediate past Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, has commended the budget presented by Governor Ahmed Ododo as a strategic blueprint aimed at addressing the diverse needs of Kogi State.
Kolawole described the 2025 budget as one that would turn around the fortune of the state from austerity to posterity
He said in a statement issued to newsmen that the budget’s focus on critical sectors such as security, education, agriculture, and humanitarian efforts reflects a holistic approach to the state’s development.
According to him, “The clear definition of funding sources enhances the budget’s credibility, showcasing a sustainable and effective resource allocation plan. This demonstrates the administration’s dedication to the welfare of the people and the state’s long-term growth.
“Ododo’s perspective underscores the value of thoughtful planning and strategic governance in advancing Kogi State.”
While disclosing that the budget when implemented will transform the society for good, expressed satisfaction with the 2025 budget, he added, “Let me assure you that what you have seen is just a thing of the iceberg, described the forthcoming yuletide as a commitment to the prosperity of the people.”
