A 30-year-old Miss Lydia Oyeboade needs N22m For a Kidney transplant.
Oyeboade, who was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and Hypertension, is currently admitted at the Redeemer’s Health Centre Annexe at Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to a medical report by Quteef Central Hospital, Saudi Arabia, dated June 22, 2023, her two kidneys were no longer functioning optimally.
The report read in part, “This above-mentioned lady recently was admitted on 15/05/2023 as a case of AKI vs CKD, started on hemodialysis 3 times per week (Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday) through temporary IJ line and later was exchanged with Permacath.
“She Underwent Left renal Biospy on 21/05/2023 and was discharged on 26/05/2023, later on, she was admitted due to large intra abdominal hematoma Perinephric of the left kidney compressing the spleen and kidney with active bleeding, and embolization was done.
“Also, she was admitted on 16/06/2023 due to central line-associated bloodstream infection (Central blood culture showed Burkholderia cepacia, sensitive to Ceftazidime) and started on Ceftazidime 1 g QHD IV for 9 doses.
The report stated further that “No active arterial bleeding. The left kidney is severely compressed by the large hematoma in keeping with the page kidney. Large left hemothorax and newly developed small right pleural effusion with bilateral lower lung lobes, collapse consolidation.”
Lydia’s family is consequently using this to appeal to well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid.
“Please, help us. No amount is small. We need your assistance to save Lydia’s life,” Aanu Adegun, a journalist and relative of Lydia, appealed.
