About 300 people in Ifeolukotun and its environs have benefited from a free medical outreach organized by the Secretary to the Kogi State Government.

The initiative was carried out through the Secretary’s Non-Governmental Organization, Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows and Orphans (FAIWO), to address the health needs of her immediate community during these challenging economic times.

The Coordinator of the Medical Programme, Comrade Samuel Obajemu, stated in an interview that the outreach witnessed a large turnout from Ifeolukotun and its surrounding areas. He emphasized that the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SGS) has committed to sustaining the treatment efforts to ensure the well-being of the people.

According to Comrade Obajemu, the treatment reflects a genuine love for the people of Ifeolukotun. He assured that the outreach would soon be extended to other communities.

He commended the SGS for sponsoring the programme, describing her as a blessing to the government and people of Kogi State.

Comrade Obajemu noted that the ailments treated included typhoid, malaria, high blood pressure, and diabetes, among others, adding that children also received medical attention.

The Olukotun of Ife Olukotun, Oba Shuaibu Mohammed, described the outreach as timely and a step in the right direction, expressing gratitude to the SGS for her efforts.
