The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, and 12 other eminent Nigerians have been appointed fellows of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE).
A congratulatory message sent to the former Osun State deputy-governor by the national secretary of the academy, Mrs C. O. Adelowo, on Saturday, revealed that the APC national secretary is among the 13 “distinguished engineers admitted into the fellowship of the academy for the year 2023”.
Adelowo, in the message, noted that the NAE council appointed the new fellows for 2023 at its meeting held on Tuesday, saying other personalities on the list include; Abubakar Sadiq Zubair, Adegbite Michael Adedokun, Ademosu Olasupo, Amshi Ahmed Kadi, Aribisala James Olugbenga, Ayodele John Oladipo, Awoseyin Raphael Sunday, Dania Victor Olumide, Maliki Wopa Kamila, Ogunshakin Nelson, Okoye Josephat Kanayo, and Nwanze Kenneth Ngozichukwuka.
According to findings, “the NAE was established by statute in 1997 as a non-profit and non-governmental institution for the promotion of excellence in engineering training and practice to ensure the technological growth of Nigeria.
“The Academy is a leading national Think Tank” for engineering and technology that provides leadership in national engineering and technological issues by conducting studies and research on relevant issues and making inputs to developmental policies at the highest possible level.”
