The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Akoka, has reappointed two of its deputy vice-chancellors, Prof Ayodele Atsenuwa, who is in charge of Development Services and Prof Lucian Chukwu (Management Services) for another two years.
The university’s spokesperson, Mrs Joke-Alaga Ibraheem, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen.
She said the governing council of the university had confirmed their reappointments at its statutory meeting held on March 31.
She noted that their confirmation was sequel to their elections at a meeting of the University Senate nine days earlier.
Ibraheem noted that while Prof Atsenuwa’s renewed tenure had taken effect from March 29, Chukwu’s own would start from April 24, 2023, and both are not eligible for another term.
Atsenuwa is a Professor of Public Law and former dean of Faculty of Law of UNILAG while Prof Chukwu is a former director of academic planning of the university and specialist on ecotoxicology and environmental risk and impact assessment strategies.
The university community and particularly the vice-chancellor, Prof Folashade Ogunsola, congratulated the duo on their reappointments and wished them a successful tenure.
