Tribunal verdict: Nasarawa PDP tells security agencies to arrest troublemakers

Nasarawa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has called on all security agencies to arrest any person found fomenting trouble in the state in the name of tribunal Victory celebration.

Mr Francis Orogu the state’s chairman of PDP, made the party’s position known while briefing journalists shortly after a state executive meeting held Monday in Lafia the state capital.

Orogu said that the Party was aware of some bad elements who claimed to be PDP members who were trying to foment trouble at the party secretariat in the name of celebration.

He cautioned all party members to resist any attempt to have any issues of confrontation with anybody in the name of celebrating the Party’s victory in the state.

According to him, “We are briefing you on the issues that have to do with blackmail with one of us and attempt to create a breach of peace.

”There are some boys who came from Akwanga, they came and stormed our secretariat with a bus and sticks, their intentions we don’t know, what they planned to do we don’t know, we fill that is a signal to us to know that anybody can do anything and claim is a PDP member.

“Any party who tries to be smart and create an impression that is PDP we should know the people involve. At this point I’m calling on security agencies that we have spoken to our members and we have informed them that there is a need for us not to be distracted by anybody. We have gotten a victory we are praying to see what is ahead of us,” he said.
