

A diesel tanker has been engulfed by fire at the Ojota inward interchange in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), via X(formerly Twitter) where it stated that its personnel had been deployed to the scene.

The agency said: “There’s a burning Tanker at Ojota inward interchange. @LagosRescue and LASTMA officials are all at the scene to do the needful. Patience required from road users.”

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed the accident in a statement which was disclosed to the public today, that the flames had been brought under control.

The statement reads: “Situation in Ojota is under control as the peddler truck conveying Diesel inward Ketu that went on flame has been extinguished.”
