The leadership of the New Life for All Nation church has said that this year’s convention is not about jamboree, but a deep reflection of the new phase of the ministry as well as to ignite the youths of the church on the responsibilities ahead as well as to achieve a fruitful life.
According to the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Sunday Edokpayi, the church had a swell golden jubilee last year as it marked the 50th anniversary, but that this year’s convention would be a quiet time in the presence of God.
“We feel it was time to examine and re-examine ourselves as a church at this year’s convention. This is why we have the theme of the convention as “Travail to Prevail” according to the scripture, Genesis 32 VS 24-30. It is going to be a holistic moment in God’s presence and we trust that we will see the manifestation of God in a tremendous way after travailing in his presence,” he added.
Assistant General Overseer (Operations), Pastor Olumide Orekoya, noted that the convention billed to commence from December 21 to 24, promises to empower the youths physically and spiritually as the activities lined up will make them involved actively.
“The Church is conscious of the fact that the youths are the future, so we are much aware and sensitive to involve the youths in the growth of the church and be fruitful in all ramifications. In fact, we are blending both the youths and the elders of the church. We know the importance and God has been helping us. We have vibrant and dedicated young and old folks in the church and God has been using us all in tremendous ways,” he added.
Highlighting the lineup of programmes, the General Secretary and Executive Director of Administration of the church, Pastor Remi Akande, said that the 2023 annual convention of the church would commence with an elders and ministers conference on December 19, while the main convention will hold December 21 to 24, at the international headquarters, Oloola, New Felele, Off Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
