National Chairman, Initiative for Better & Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba has expressed sadness over the gruesome terror attacks on some communities in Barkin Ladi and Bokkos Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which wasted the lives of not less than 160 people.
Isa El-Buba in a statement by Amb. Yemi Matthew, National Director, Media and Publicity, Initiative for Better & Brighter Nigeria ( IBBN) stated, “At a time when the world was celebrating Christmas, forces of darkness plotted and executed the coordinated massacre of helpless citizens in cold blood.”
Prophet Dr Isa El-Buba further lamented in anguish, “For how long will the lives of innocent citizens be freely butchered to grab and annexe ancestral homelands of communities and meet demands of satanic altars?”
“This vexing question is on the libs of millions of meaningful Nigerians with good conscience & the international community. The blood of victims of terror and satanic altars is crying out to God for justice daily! The justice of God does not fail,” he added.
While reflecting on the recent killings, Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba
said that he will not stop calling for decisive actions to be taken against terrorists and bandits until the day that the Nigerian State awakes to her primary constitutional responsibility of securing the lives and properties of her citizens.
He appealed to both the Federal and State Governments to work in synergy with all security agencies in fighting this common enemy.
The renowned Cleric expressed optimism saying that peace which has remained illusive in vulnerable communities of Plateau State is achievable if the issue of security will not only be given lips service as the people are tired of the slogan “Government or Security Agencies are on top of the situation” when the lives & properties of innocent Nigerians are destroyed everyday.
Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba who was almost in tears said that the protection of citizens and their belongings is one of the dividends of good governance, and is top on the list among the things he has been advocating for before and after the 2023 General Elections for the citizens not to loose their confidence in the Government.
He further called on communities to strategize on ways for self-defence saying “For how long will communities who are peaceful and accommodating continue to live in sorrow, pain, fear and anguish?”
He emphasised the need for the Federal Government to officially allow community policing to take full force.
He renewed the commitment of his initiative (IBBN) towards promoting good governance, justice, development & peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
