Determined to conduct free, fair, and credible bye-elections in Kebbi State, the state’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that the commission is fully ready for reruns and bye-elections.
The newly posted Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in charge of Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Sarkin Fawa Dambo, told newsmen at a briefing on Thursday that all sensitive materials for the smooth conduct of the election on Saturday have been distributed to the effected areas.
“We have distributed all the sensitive materials for the conduct of bye-elections in Yauri, Shanga, and Ngaski and re-run elections in Arewa and Dandi local governments, respectively.”.
Dambo appreciated all the political parties for their prompt responses to the distribution of sensitive materials for the election in the state.
He also appreciated journalists, security agencies, and all stakeholders for making the distribution exercise successful in the state.
