Operatives of the Nigeria Police, Adamawa State Command, have arrested 49 suspected ‘Shila boys’ members, including 2 women who have constituted themselves into a dangerous group terrorizing innocent citizens in the metropolis.
A statement by the PPRO, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Wednesday, said that the Command’s recent operation led to the arrest of the suspects.
SP Nguroje said that the operation at the identified criminal hideouts and black spots within the State Capital, including areas around Geriyo Junction, Doubeli Junction, Jambutu Aso Rock, Behind Ramat College, Total Flyover led to the arrest of 49 suspects including two women.
“The State Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, assures members of the public, that the Command will continue to employ all necessary resources and strategies to sustain the fight against “Shila” gangsterism,” he added.

The statement urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement around their neighbourhood.
The arrest is coming barely 24 hours after the state governor issued a warning to this group of miscreants and their sponsors, stating the long hands of the law will catch up with them.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to tackle crime and criminality in the state.
