The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. (Dr) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira, has commenced the reconstruction of roads in the Ijeshatedo community.
This move, according to the council chairman, is aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing accessibility within the district.
He stated that the road reconstruction and interlocking would foster development in the area while also connecting and improving road networks within the Itire-Ikate community.
Speaking at the flag-off of the reconstruction, Dr Apatira said, ”By investing in road construction, the LCDA aims to address traffic congestion and create a more conducive environment for residents and businesses alike.

“This project sees to the construction and interlocking of Adeyemi Street in Ijeshatedo within six months. It is a demonstration of our commitment to improving the local community’s infrastructure, enhancing accessibility, and fostering development in the area.
“By investing in road construction, the LCDA aims to address transportation challenges and create a more conducive environment for residents and businesses alike.
“In addition to the road construction project, our administration also prioritises the reconstruction and repair of culverts across various communities within the LCDA. Culverts play a crucial role in managing water flow, preventing flooding, and ensuring the durability of road infrastructure. By undertaking these repairs, the LCDA aims to enhance drainage systems, mitigate the risk of water-related disasters, and improve the overall resilience of the local infrastructure.
