The Onireti of Ireti-Ijebu in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Abdulganiyu Olusegun Awokoya, has commended the founder of Christ Apostolic Church Grace of Mercy, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo for the establishment of a general hospital in the community.

Oba Awokoya gave the commendation during the laying foundation of a new general hospital in Ireti community.

The traditional ruler said that despite the fact that his enthronement had brought unprecedented development into the community within the shortest time of his reign yet, the community still lacks healthcare facilities.

“I came to the throne not quite long ago and I have been able to achieve a lot. In the area of social amenities, we have been able to provide over 50 solar streetlights across the community, building of market and lock-up shops, building of shopping complex for commercial purposes, among others.

“Despite all these, we don’t have quality healthcare facility until Prophet Olu-Alo came to rescue us by establishing this hospital we are starting today. The community donated over 10 acres of land free for the project which we christened Anowoleyo Hospital,” the monarch said.

The royal father further said that the hospital is part of community development, just as he appealed to indigenes of the community who are well-to-do both at home and in the diaspora to come and develop their origin, adding that government cannot provides all our needs alone.

Earlier, Prophet Olu-Alo said that through his empowerment programme he had empowered thousands of people in Nigeria, as he added that he empowered over 20,000 people particularly youths and widows in the area of healthcare services on a yearly basis.

The man of God said he had carried out surgery to over 60 people with various ailments while provision of free eyeglasses to many people was not left out.

He sought the support of community members throughout the period the project will be completed.

In his remarks, chairman of Anowoleyo Community Association, Chief Dosunmu Balogun while thanking God for sparing his life to witness such a project, appreciated the donor of the hospital and promised that the community will use all powers at its disposal to ensure the success of the project.
