The Young Farmers Association Ukpo Dunukofia Chapter in Anambra State has celebrated a landmark victory for democracy and grassroots development, as the supreme court rules in favour of financial autonomy for local governments system in Nigeria.
According to Mr Onyeka Igbomoji, the Chairman/Coordinator Young Farmers Association Ukpo Dunukofia, who disclosed the celebration in a statement in Awka on Thursday, said “We express our gratitude to God as today marks a turning point for Dunukofia local government area.
“This judgment is a triumph of justice and a testament to the power of progressive governance, we commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Soludo, and the TC Chairman of Dunukofia Council Area, Barr. Chijioke Ozumba, for their efforts to bring hope and relief to our people mostly the young farmers in the area, Igbomoji concluded.
