THE presiding pastor of the Bible Way Crusaders Church International and president of Care People Foundation, Reverend Paul Tunde Tioluwani, popularly known as Lesekese, has charged leaders of the nation to concentrate more on the unity and progress of the nation and not rule based on religion, saying it is the only way Nigeria can move forward.

Tioluwani Lesekese stressed further that Nigeria’s diversity is its strength, just as it noted that it was time we stop dividing the nation with religion, which has not brought about significant results.

The cleric made this known at a news conference held in his church, at Eyin Grammar, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State, last Wednesday, following the preparation of the funeral arrangement of the late Reverend Amos Akindele.

Reverend Tioluwani, who is the chairman of the burial committee, advised leaders to prioritise the welfare of Nigerians, rather than religious sentiments.

He noted that the late Akindele should be emulated by leaders, describing him as a notable preacher, and crusader, who laboured for the development of mega-churches.

Akindele, who died May 20 and will be buried August 2, was instrumental in the growth of the church in Nigeria and a pioneer executive member of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), at the national and state level.
