The Local Education Authority in Borno State has renamed the Bulabukarti Primary School in Damboa Local Government Area after Brigadier General Marcel Ejike, a decorated military leader.
General Ejike, who is the current Sector Commander of Sector 2, Northeast Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai, has been instrumental in rebuilding the school, providing a safe haven for children to learn and thrive in a region ravaged by conflict.
The renaming of the school is part of showing gratitude to General Ejike’s remarkable contributions to education and community development in Borno State.
His selflessness and dedication to the welfare of the students, many of whom are orphans, have made a profound impact on the community.
“General Ejike’s legacy serves as a beacon of hope for a brighter future,” said Bulama Modu, a community leader.
“His commitment to education and community development is a shining example of leadership and a testament to the power of human compassion.”
The renaming ceremony was attended by community leaders, education officials, and military personnel, who all praised General Ejike’s tireless efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
