Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed sadness over the death of veteran journalist and former General Manager of Radio Niger, Alhaji Abdullahi Abdul Paiko, the Jarman Minna.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor described the death of Jarman Minna as a great loss to Minna Emirate and the entire state.
He recounted the numerous contributions and selfless service rendered by the deceased in the information sector and traditional institution.
The Governor, who noted that his absence would be greatly missed, enjoined all affected by the death to take solace in the fact that he lived a good and fulfilling life.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umaru Faruk Bahago, and the entire people of the Emirate over the loss.

The Governor also sympathized with the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Niger State Council, and prayed to Allah to make Aljanna Firdausi the final abode of the deceased.
He further prayed that Allah would grant his immediate and extended family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Late Abdullahi Abdul Paiko was the Chief Press Secretary to late Governor Musa Inuwa between 1992 and 1993, under the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC).
He also served as General Manager of Radio Niger, Director of Information Services, and a Permanent Secretary under the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development at different times.
