The Owaloko of Iloko Ijesa, Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Akeem KING Benjamin Ogungbangbe, Ajagbusi Ekun VI, led the Iloko traditional council and other chiefs to the Iloko Model College (IMC) for its 20th Valedictory Service and Graduation Ceremony.
In his speech, Owaloko praised IMC for its commitment to providing high-quality education and urged parents to enroll their children in the school to benefit from its sound educational offerings. “Iloko Model College offers quality education that prepares students for success in the global arena,” he stated.
Owaloko expressed his gratitude to HRM Oba Adebayo Ogunmokun, Akeji of Ikeji Ile, for his steadfast support of the school since 2021, following the vision of his predecessor, HRM Oba Oladele Olashore. He acknowledged Akeji’s dedication to the progress of the school.
Additionally, Owaloko appreciated the Olowu of Owu-Kuta Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Abdulhammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama Tegbosun III, who was represented by Olori Abebi Oyelude Makama, for attending the occasion.
The Owaloko also extended his thanks to the Ojemen family for their unwavering support of IMC, and applauded the Honourable Commissioner for Business and Empowerment, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe, for attending the event despite his busy schedule. Owaloko used the opportunity to convey a message to the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Eluwole, stating that the school would be honored to host the next lecture during the first term of the upcoming session.
Owaloko celebrated the contributions of individuals who provided scholarships to underprivileged students, enabling them to attend IMC. These benefactors include the Chief Elijah Fasogbon Family, the late High Chief Olusola Ogunsanya the immediate past Obarisa of Iloko-Ijesa, Prince Dr. Thomas Ogungbangbe, founder and CEO of CITA Foundation, and the Olashore Foundation Family.
He also praised the Iloko traditional council for their support in protecting the school’s image and thanked the parents of the graduating students, assuring them that their efforts would not be in vain.
Owaloko highlighted the solid foundation provided to the graduating students and encouraged them to build on it, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
Owaloko emphasized that Iloko Model College (IMC) stands out due to its exceptional faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, which create a conducive learning environment for students.
