The Police Recruitment Board has approved August 10, 2024, as the date for the commencement of training for successful applicants from the 2022 Constable Recruitment exercise.
Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations at the Police Service Commission, stated this in a statement signed and made available to journalists on Monday in Abuja.
The statement also noted that candidates are expected to confirm their status by logging into https://apply.Policerecruitment.gov.ng for further details on the training exercise.

Ikechukwu Ani further stated that specialist applicants are to resume training two months after their General Duty counterparts. Information on the date and venues for their specialized training will be announced in due course.
According to him, the Police Service Commission wishes to appreciate the applicants for their patience and understanding while efforts were made to ensure that the exercise was inclusive and widely acceptable.
He emphasised that the Commission will continue to ensure that recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force is based on merit and adherence to Federal Character principles.
The Commission also urges the successful candidates to view their new status as a call to duty for the Nigerian nation, stressing that it will monitor their training programs to ensure they are well-prepared to join the fight against the security challenges facing our nation.
