The Alaye of Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba AbdulAzeez Adelakun, has frowned at the planned protest against economic hardship in the country, calling on residents to embrace peace
Oba Adelakun said this during the installation of Oluwo of Ayetoro, Chief Josiah Anuoluwa Ileyemi, appealing to the people, particularly residents of Ayetoro to remain calm and refrain from causing further problems that will aggravate the situation in the country
The monarch, speaking through the Secretary of Alaye in Council, Amona Oba, Kunle Amosun assured that the Federal Government led administration by Senator Bola Tinubu is working on the way to ameliorate the suffering being experienced by the people, urging them to continue to support the present administration at all levels to deliver more dividends of democracy
Also speaking, the Ojumo of Ayetoro who is also the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government area, Chief Kunle Adeosun appealed to the people to shelve the planned protest, saying some bad elements may hijack the protest to unleash mayhem that will worsen the situation.
Chief Ileyemi thanked the Alaye and the people of Ayetoro for the honour bestowed on him.
