What I’ve done to reduce hardship - Tinubu

Apostle Andrew John, a spiritual leader known for his prophetic publications and political commentary, has called on Nigeria’s spiritual leaders to break their silence amid the nation’s ongoing political crisis. Over the weekend, Apostle John criticized the lack of vocal opposition from spiritual leaders, suggesting their inaction reflects a failure to stand on the side of truth.

Addressing the current political climate, Apostle John commented on the presidency of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating, “It would be difficult to remove President Tinubu, no matter the uproar or rage by the populace.” He argued that Tinubu’s ascent to power was not due to a clear electoral mandate but rather through forceful means, and as such, Tinubu might only relinquish his position voluntarily or through divine intervention.

He highlighted remarks made by President Tinubu, in which he allegedly claimed to have “bought the seat with his money” and asserted it was his turn to lead. According to John, these statements indicate that majority votes were disregarded in Tinubu’s rise to power. He further quoted Tinubu’s declaration that “power is not usually served à la carte but snatched, grabbed, and taken by force,” suggesting Tinubu’s tenure is driven by personal ambition rather than a vision for the nation.

Looking ahead, Apostle John predicted that Tinubu might eventually be willing to step down when political pressure intensifies, though he expressed uncertainty about who might succeed him. He did not rule out the possibility of a military intervention to restore integrity in governance.

John also warned against complacency, emphasizing the need to be vigilant of external threats and the ambitions of Tinubu’s close associates, who might seek to establish an interim government or assert their own claim to leadership.

To address these challenges, Apostle John proposed that genuine spiritual leaders collaborate with retired generals and former leaders to engage in dialogue and seek divine guidance for Nigeria’s future. He expressed hope that such efforts could lead to a resolution and bring relief to the nation.

In a prophetic declaration, Apostle John likened Nigeria’s situation to the Israelites’ bondage under Pharaoh, suggesting that God would no longer remain silent if the nation’s suffering continued. He called for divine intervention akin to the emergence of Moses, to lead Nigeria out of its current hardships.

Apostle John concluded by pleading for God’s mercy to prevail over the nation.
