British-Nigerian singer and rapper Darkoo has opened up about her unexpected switch from sports to music.
In a recent podcast, the “Favourite Girl” star revealed that she initially aspired to be a footballer but quit after a health crisis during a match.
“Music was never the plan. I wanted to be a footballer,” she shared. “A lot of people have not seen me on the pitch because I don’t play football anymore. The last time I played, I fainted because it was a lot of exercise.”
Darkoo’s shift to music has since made her one of the most notable rising stars in the industry.
