Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced a scheduled service downtime set to begin on October 18, 2024.
The downtime will commence at 6:00 PM on Friday and will last until 6:00 AM on Monday, October 21, 2024.
In a statement issued to customers, EKEDC advised that all services will be temporarily unavailable during this period. The company strongly encouraged customers to purchase and load their tokens ahead of the scheduled downtime to avoid any inconvenience.
“We urge all customers to buy and load their tokens before the service downtime begins to prevent any disruptions to their power supply,” the statement emphasised.

The planned interruption is part of a routine maintenance effort aimed at improving the overall efficiency and reliability of the electrical system, ensuring a better service experience for customers.
“We understand the potential inconvenience this may cause, but this maintenance is essential for the long-term reliability and performance of our services,” the company added, assuring customers that normal operations will resume immediately after the maintenance window.
EKEDC encourages all customers to prepare accordingly and stay informed through its official communication channels for updates during this period.
