IPAC holds road show to educate voters

Ahead of the local government elections slated for 19th October, 2024, in Kaduna state, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Kaduna chapter held a road show to educate voters on the need to exercise their franchise and vote candidates of their choice.

The road show which started at Katsina road office of IPAC had in attendance officials of the council as well as officials of other political parties.

Security personnel as well as Federal Road Safety officials were presence to provide security as well as to guide the traffic flow during the roadshow.

The IPAC officials who were spotted given out leaflets finally stopped at stadium roundabout to speak with newsmen on why they were holding the road show.

Speaking in an interview the state chairman of IPAC, Hon Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha remarked that they were holding the road show in order to sensitize and educate the voters about the local government election in the state slated for the 19th, October, 2024.

“We also want people to know the importance of exercising their franchise during the election.

“You know local government is closer to the people and people ought to know that they have a duty to elect candidates of their choice without intimidation,” he said.

The IPAC chairman who is also the state chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) also said we are educating the voters to know the significant of voting that it will afford them the opportunity to channel their complains to the LG officials.

He disclosed “that so far the electoral body has not derailed, saying people should also understand that there’s no election that is hundred percent.

“We have drawn their (SIECOM) attention to areas we felt need to be addressed and they have don’t their best. We are calling on all stakeholders to come out and give their own contributions towards having a peaceful election in the state.”
